Bursa and Uludag Full-Day Tour From Istanbul
Let's go to Bursa, the picturesque city close to Istanbul, where you can admire the Ottoman Empire's history and enjoy the beautiful nature of the Marmara region. It is a full-day tour with lunch, visiting Green Mosque and other historical sightseeings and cable car to 2,500m-high Uludag Mountain.
This tour is designed for people who are interested in history and Uludag Mountain. The tour starts with hotel pickup around 08:00 in the morning and after around a 2-hour drive, you'll reach Bursa. Bursa was the capital city of the Ottoman Empire between 1335 and 1360. The city is called also Green Bursa referring to parks, greens, and gardens located across Bursa. There are also forests around the city.
You'll visit Green Mosque also known as Mosque of Mehmet I - a part of a big complex and it is located on the east side of Bursa. After the mosque, you'll visit the green tomb. This is the tomb of Sultan Mehmet the first and made by his son Murat II.
After you have lunch, the next stop is the historical Inkaya Plane Tree in Bursa. The tree's name is Inkaya because Inkaya Village is one of the earliest settlements of the Ottoman Empire. This 600-year-old tree is 35 meters tall and has a trunk diameter of 3 meters.
Then you'll take the cable car to go to Uludag Mountain. Uludag means great mountain in Turkish. It is the highest mountain in the Marmara Region and the highest peak is Kartaltepe at 2543 meters.
After the visit to Uludag, we'll get back to Istanbul and take you to the hotel around 23:00.
